We design architecture around how a building needs to perform for the people who use it, the climate it belongs to and the life it needs to support.
At Epiphany, performance is not something we test after the design is complete. It is part of the design from the beginning. We study orientation, daylight, heat, air movement, comfort, material behaviour, function and patterns of use, then allow that information to shape the architecture.

We begin by understanding how a space will actually be used: movement, routines, comfort, privacy, interaction and changing needs.
Rather than starting with a predetermined architectural language and adapting it until it fits, we allow the user, programme, site and climate to establish the logic of the design.
Every project begins with a different set of conditions. The architecture should therefore be equally specific.
